How to restore corrupted wallet.dat bitcoin core ??

Hi few months ago I bought some bitcoin however i sent it to a wallet created via Bitcoincore, after some times i just deleted everything from my computer before the end of the installation process without any backup of my privatekeys or any seed as bitcoin core does not use seed word for recovery.
As i really want to restore my BTC I read a lot of different post in many forums and after some deep search think to have found the wallet.dat but it is detected as corrupted by bitcoin core
I'm aware of few function such as -salvagewallet but don't know really how to run it on windows 10 as i don't know a thing about coding and stuff.
I also notice that there are few software such as pywallet but really how does this stuff work ?
I really need a step by step guide where everything is explained .
Thanks a lot .

wallet.dat in Bitcoin Core 0.20 ver not found in AppData Windows 10

Hi everyone,
In the latest version of Bitcoin Core ver. 0.20 there seems to be no Bitcoin folder in the C:\Users\ABC\AppData\Roaming - hence wallet.dat is not stored in there.

Does anyone have experience with this and knows where it's now stored please?
I would appreciate your sharing and thanks a lot.
Cheers,
TN

Need help recovering my Bitcoin change wallet after transaction, only have pre-transaction wallet.dat

Need help recovering my Bitcoin change wallet after transaction, only have pre-transaction wallet.dat
I did some mining back in 2018 that got me 0.3949 BTC. I backed up my wallet in 2018 and have made only one transaction since then on 2 Feb 2019 to Multicards Bitcoin Paygate for a domain purchase for 0.0305 BTC. The transaction was done using Bitcoin Core on one of my Windows PCs. That transaction was successful, I got the domain, and I'm pretty sure I saw the remaining balance of 0.3644 in my Bitcoin Core app. Since 2 Feb 2019, I lost track of that PCs hard drive and I do not recall backing up my wallet after my 2 Feb 2019 transaction. Transaction details here https://www.blockonomics.co/api/tx?txid=ba89799ef6048bcd6d6c20c56772e1d75353a9d47c3bca9830f29433b8acb95e&addr=3Fpr6RfSuH99k7rRSXmgAwKv55zZQY8RnG
I recently reinstalled Bitcoin Core and restored my 2018 wallet.dat backup but my balance is 0.000 BTC. It shows the 2 Feb 2019 transactions to two addresses. I'm assuming one was for the recipient (Multicards) and the other was a change wallet, the larger 0.3644 amount. I'm assuming it is a change account because no other activity as occurred in that wallet since 2 Feb 2019. I need help finding a way to access that change wallet. I've searched for all my wallet.dat files I could find but none of them have the change wallet. I've tried Bitcoin Core's dedug console listaccounts and nothing shows up. I've tried dumpprivkey for my 2018 wallet but not sure what to do with the one line of code it returned. I've tried pywallet --dumpwallet command but the resulting txt file doesn't include the change wallet address.
UPDATE & PROBLEM SOLVED! At time of my post, I was using Bitcoin Core v0.15.1 which was released in November 2017, a full two years before the transaction in question. I updated to the latest Bitcoin Core v0.20.0, did a full sync, and voila, the 0.3644 BTC in the change wallet appears in my total balance (see 3rd screenshot posted). Based on the helpful comments, I think the 2019 transaction put the change in a segwit address which Bitcoin Core v0.15.1 was not able to read. Sorry for wasting everyone's time but I learned to... 1. Use an up to date Bitcoin Core version 2. Backup my wallet.dat after each transaction and note version used in ledger. 3. Stay calm.

found two old wallet.dat, have a few questions

Hey everyone - I remembered i had some bitcoin files on an old hard drive so i plugged it in to my new computer and found 2 wallet.dat files. I opened them by installing bitcoin core 0.14.2 and dumping the private key and checking the wallet address. One had .055 (ill take it) and the other apparently doesnt have a wallet address? nothing is coming up in bitcoin core when i use it as my wallet.dat.. bitcoin core .12 said that the wallet was at risk or something like that and recommended upgrade. Is this a segwit wallet or something? does that matter?
Also, to send these bitcoins i need to wait for the bitcoin block chain to sync right? there's no equivalent to myetherwallet where you can send via their gui?
Thanks for all the help guys, and fingers crossed on this last wallet.dat file.

Created for merchants and end users alike, the Bitcoin world will never be the same. Based out of Denmark, BIPS is brought to you by the same team as WalletBit - a name you can trust. Visit https://bips.me and get started today.
Users have the option of signing up using an existing Facebook, Twitter or Google account. This means you won't have to remember another password unless you want to. For those of you who like to do things the old fashioned way, we have a traditional sign up method.
Our free eWallet service is the most secure in existence today. When you sign up for a BIPS account your password is stored as a heavily salted SHA-512 hash. This means your BIPS password is more secure than most banking sites. BIPS also enables you to add up to three factors of authentication to prevent unauthorized access to your account. This includes Secure Card technology pioneered by WalletBit and Google Authenticator.
BIPS is the first major Bitcoin gateway to offer merchant tools completely for free. As long as you keep your balance as Bitcoins then you pay zero processing fees. You only have to pay if you want to cash out to your local currency.
BIPS gives you the option to automatically convert some of or all the Bitcoins coming into your account to your local currency. Any automatic conversion to local currency at the time of purchase is guaranteed at the rate it was processed for. This means you can accept Bitcoins without worrying about exchange rates.
Transfers between BIPS accounts are instant and free. The only thing you will ever be asked to pay for are our premium services such as buying, selling and cold storage. BIPS offers the most affordable Bitcoin selling rates ever offered globally. With 42 different local currency options (https://bips.me/pricing) BIPS offers the most cash out options anywhere. This includes daily domestic transfers to both Canada and Denmark.

How to import wallet.dat to bitcoin.com.exe wallet?

i have a wallet.dat file from Bitcoin core before the bch fork in 2017. I looked at the block explorer and I still see a final balance in there for bch.
Can I import the wallet.dat directly into Bitcoin.com.exe? I chose import file/txt and supplied the file encryption PW and and it returns an error message stating "could not decrypt file". I know the password is correct because I can go into Bitcoin core console using walletpassphrase "mypw" and it works(returned null)
How can I get my bch from an old BTC address? And I guess my next question after that would be how can I get my bsv from that same address.
Thanks!

MFWTK. He found a Bitcoin wallet.dat file on an old drive. How does he check how much money is in it?

Edit: to clarify. My friend's brother got into Bitcoins for like 2 days. According to My friend's brother it contained a fraction of a fraction of a bitcoin. Which was mere cents at the time. Nobody remembers the exact amount but it is probably no bigger than 0.01. Which is about $80 today. Not big money at all.
My friend's brother eventually moved to a different country and my friend recently took his old computer to salvage the hard drive. And he found a folder on origin labeled "Bitcoin". Obviously it isn't big money but he feels compelled to give his brother his money. Or at least buy the bitcoins.

What do i need to keep Bitcoin Core safe - wallet.dat and what else?

Hi i have had a look in the right bottom corner of my wallet, and it says HD key generation enabled - no idea what that means. So i assume i only need my wallet.dat file to be backed up , preferably to a USB stick, CD , HDD, or whatever? I do not need private keys to be dumped? I have however dumped them , if i have correctly as seen below:
I have already clicked on request new payment to create a new receive address.
So then i took that address and then typed dumpprivkey {address} as per below. 18:01:41 dumpprivkey 37Tn1St******c6vaYcsoPWxda 18:01:41 L3GKAxpb12q*********URMqM6w441QTF
Is this it? , and then what do i use it for?
So if i need to re-install bitcoincore to a different machine because something happened to my original bitcoin core ...blockchain and all... i would be praying i have the wallet.dat and then i would copy that file over to the new installation roaming data folder and bob is my uncle? what do i need to private keys for though
